The benefits of introducing your child to music at an early age

There has been, and continues to be, much in-depth study into the benefits that music can have on children’s development.  Researchers have found a significant relationship between children who are engaged in music and movement from an early age and positive performances in the following areas:

development of speech

listening skills

focus and concentration

reading comprehension

fine motor-skills/ co-ordination

spatial awareness

an awareness of one another.

Music is a wonderful way for children to express themselves without words, it can be both stimulating and relaxing and can help release tension.

Music stimulates the brain, the emotions, and the body simultaneously. Auditory impulses structure the way we learn to communicate. In speech, movement, and expression, music holds many nutrients for the developing mind of children.
