Haley Glennie-Smith

Brought up in a musical family, Haley knows first hand the benefits of enjoying and participating in music from an young age.  She sang in choirs in school and at University as well as being a member of the smaller Chamber Singing group.

 

While at University she was also Musical Director of a mixed a cappella group, leading rehearsals, teaching parts and frequently arranging new material for SATB (soprano, alto, tenor and bass).

 

Haley moved to Norfolk with her family in November 2020 after nearly 20 years in London working as a vocalist for TV, film, and backing singer for bands as well as performing solo acoustic gigs in and around London. She is the featured vocalist in George Fenton’s BBC Earth live show, Planet Earth in Concert, performing with orchestras across the globe including the LA Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl, The Grant Park Orchestra at the Millennium Park, Chicago, The Metropolitan Orchestra at the Sydney Opera House, and across the UK with the Philharmonia. Haley is also a member of Americana/alt-folk band Red Sky July.

 

Haley has been running Little Birds sessions in communities, nurseries and festivals for over a decade and continues to develop her passion for Early Years music undertaking training in both the Kodaly and Dalcroze methodologies and has experience delivering holistic performing arts workshops to Key Stage 1 & 2 in schools.
